Where are Gatemaster products manufactured?

Do you ship internationally?

Where is my order?

Typically our orders are delivered on the next working day following despatch although our couriers do have a 2 working day agreement with us.  If you would like to know the progress of your order please contact the team

How do I return my product for an exchange or refund?

2. Choosing the Right Product

How do I know what handing I need?

If you stand on the outside of your property and look back towards your gate, whatever side the hinges are on is what handing your lock needs to be.

  • If the hinges are on your left, you’ll need a left-handed lock.
  • If the hinges are on your right, you’ll need a right-handed lock.

How do I know what latch bolt size I need?

Gatemaster’s Superlock and SelectPro ranges feature an adjustable latch bolt, available in two sizes: 10–30mm and 40–60mm. The latch bolt must bridge the gap between your gate and the post to engage securely with the strike plate, ensuring smooth automatic latching.

What is the best lock for wooden gates?

For wooden gates, we recommend surface-fixed or surface-mounted locks. These are designed to stay secure even as the wood naturally expands and contracts with changing weather.

Do Gatemaster’s digital code locks need power to operate?

No. Our mechanical digital locks work without electricity or batteries — offering reliable security even in remote locations.


3. Troubleshooting FAQs

How do I change the code on my lock?

Changing the code depends on your lock model. Typically, you remove the lock from the gate, unbolt the backplate, adjust the pins to set a new code, and reassemble. If you have a lock from our RapidReset range, you can change the code without removing the lock from the gate.

What do I do if I have forgotten my code?

Always test your new code with the gate open!
If you’re locked out without the correct code, unfortunately, you may need to call out a locksmith or replace the lock — it’s built secure for your protection.
