FAQ's for Keyed Gate Locks
Do the locks come with a set of keys?
Yes, all of our keyed gate locks come with a set of 3 keys which are included inside the packaging.
What's the difference between deadlock, latch, and keylatch?
Here’s how they work:
Deadlock – Locks and unlocks with a key only. The bolt stays put until you turn the key, providing a high level of security.
Latch – Closes when you push the gate shut, but doesn’t lock. Anyone can open it from either side using the handle. Convenient for areas that don’t need security.
Keylatch – Closes and locks automatically when you push the gate shut. You’ll need a key to open it. Security without having to remember to lock it.
Latch Deadlock (combination) – Featuring a handle it gives you both options. The gate closes automatically but stays unlocked until you turn the key. Once locked, it works like a deadlock. Our BLD bolt-on gate lock is a popular choice.
